People of the Earth – Sowing Seeds Event
An event for anyone seeking, or who has sought refuge in the UK and for local Londoners who wish to welcome them.
Newcomers! Local Londoners! Join us for an afternoon of connection, conversation and food to get to know each other, practise English through games and share a meal together. Friends and families welcome.
Doors open 11:30am with refreshments.
Event starts at 12 noon and includes:
– Welcome and outline of the day
– English conversation games (With Speak Street Pop Up Language Cafe)
– Friendship building
– Workshop (With Olympias Music Foundation
– Open Mic (bring your musicial instruments, your singing voices!)
– Free vegetarian lunch
– Children’s corner
Event is free for refugees and asylum seekers. Local Londoners are invited to make a small donation on the door.
Bus pass travel within London (£5) available to refugees and asylum seekers.
